Dedicated datacenter proxies: connection example

Enter the host, port, username and token to connect. The example below sends a request through a US IP and checks the IP in the response.

curl

curl -x http://gate.proxytoo.com:7000 \
  -U "user-country-us:YOUR_TOKEN" \
  https://ipinfo.io/json

Replace YOUR_TOKEN with the token you got at sign up.

What is a dedicated datacenter proxy?

A dedicated datacenter proxy is a server IP in a datacenter that is assigned to a single customer. For the length of your order the address carries only your traffic, so its history reflects only how you use it.

Unlike residential IPs, which come from home internet lines, datacenter IPs sit on networks built for servers. That gives you steady connections and quick responses, and the price is set by IP count and period however much traffic you send.

At ProxyToo a dedicated datacenter proxy costs $0.63 per IP per month, and you can pick from 18 countries with datacenter IPs. Payment comes from the same single balance you use for residential, mobile and every other product.

Having the IP to yourself also makes results easier to read. When responses change, the cause lies in your own job or in the target site, so you can narrow things down quickly.

How do datacenter proxies work?

Your program sends a request to the proxy, the proxy server connects to the target site from your assigned datacenter IP, and the response travels back to your program. The target site sees the datacenter IP in place of your real address.

A dedicated proxy keeps the same IP for the entire order. Rotating residential proxies change address per request, while a dedicated IP connects from one address every time, which makes long logged in sessions and allowlisting on a partner server simple.

Both HTTP and SOCKS5 are supported. The password field takes your account access token, which starts with pt_, so one token handles both your dashboard sign in and proxy authentication.

  • Your program sends the request to the proxy.
  • The proxy connects from your assigned server IP.
  • The response returns the same way.
  • The IP stays the same all period.

What are dedicated datacenter proxies used for?

The most common use is loading public pages in bulk from sites that welcome automated access. Product listings, public documentation and open data sets can be collected quickly through fast server IPs.

They also suit integrations that need an IP allowlist. If a partner server or internal system accepts only known addresses, register your dedicated IP once and connect from it for the whole period.

Many teams use them to check their own services. With dedicated IPs in several countries you can see how your site and checkout look in each market and confirm that regional redirects fire correctly, from the same address every day for clean comparisons.

They are just as useful during development. Tune retries, timeouts and concurrency on a few dedicated IPs first, and the same code carries straight over when you later expand to residential or other products.

  • Bulk collection of public pages
  • Integrations that need allowlisted IPs
  • Country by country site checks
  • Scheduled monitoring jobs
  • Building and testing proxy code

Dedicated vs shared datacenter vs residential proxies: what is the difference?

A dedicated datacenter proxy costs more per IP than a shared one because the address is yours alone. In return its reputation follows your own habits, so repeated jobs give consistent results.

Shared datacenter proxies split IPs between several customers, which makes them far cheaper, and they come in steps of 10. Choose shared for wide jobs where IP count drives the result, and dedicated when the reputation of each address matters.

Residential proxies are home line IPs, the closest match to a real visitor. They are billed per GB of traffic, so for heavy pages at high volume the per IP billing of datacenter proxies is easier to forecast.

  • Dedicated datacenter, a private server IP at $0.63 per IP per month.
  • Shared datacenter, a server IP used by several customers at $0.0163 per IP per month.
  • ISP proxy, a static residential IP at $1.08 per IP per month.
  • Rotating residential, home line IPs at $0.78 per GB.

How do I order datacenter proxies in the dashboard?

Open Buy products in the dashboard, choose Dedicated datacenter, then set the country, IP count and period. You can pick any count from 1 to 1,000, so a small test and a large project both start at exactly the size you need.

The period options are 1, 3, 6 and 12 months. The total is IP count times months times the monthly price per IP, it shows on screen before you confirm, and it is taken from your balance when you order.

Your IPs appear under My orders and move from Activating to Active. If an order is cancelled or refunded, the amount you paid goes back to your balance, ready for any other product.

To use several countries, place a separate order for each one and group them by job. Each order shows its own status, so it is clear at a glance which country's IPs serve which job.

  • Top up your balance in the checkout window.
  • Choose Dedicated datacenter in Buy products.
  • Set the country, IP count and period.
  • Check for the Active status in My orders.

How much do dedicated datacenter proxies cost?

The formula is IP count x months x monthly price per IP. At the current price, 20 IPs for 3 months come to $37.80, and 50 IPs for a single month come to $31.50.

For a full year plan, factor in the top up bonus. A $300 top up earns a 30% bonus for a $390 balance, which covers 50 IPs for 12 months at $378.00 and still leaves $12.00.

Traffic is outside the formula, so the price stays the same however many pages you load through an IP in a month. The more your request volume grows, the simpler dedicated datacenter budgeting becomes.

Top up bonuses follow the tiers $100 +20%, $200 +25%, $300 +30%, $500 +35%, $1,000 +40%, $3,000 +45%, $5,000 +50%, so a larger single top up grows your balance more. Your balance never expires, so you can top up for a full year in advance and order whenever you need.

Which sites are datacenter proxies best for?

Dedicated datacenter proxies shine on sites that welcome automated access, on public APIs, and on your own services and partner systems. Fast responses and a fixed address let you compare results under the same conditions every day.

Shops, social networks and search results that expect home connections are best served by residential proxies. If you need one home IP for a long time, ISP proxies fit, and if you need carrier IPs, mobile proxies are the match.

When a job needs a very large number of IPs, shared datacenter or IPv6 proxies give you the best cost. Every product is paid from one balance, so mixing the right product for each job stays easy to manage.

Before you start, look at how the target site treats automated access, and the choice becomes easy. Start with datacenter where public access is broad, and with residential where screening is careful, for the most efficient path.

How do I set up and run dedicated datacenter proxies?

In the dashboard, Create connection details gives you the format you need, whether HTTP, SOCKS5, host:port:user:pass or a ready curl line. Tools such as Python, Node.js, Puppeteer, Playwright, Scrapy, Selenium and curl connect as soon as you paste those values into their proxy settings.

Spread work evenly across your IPs and leave sensible gaps between requests. Because you keep each address for a long time, good habits protect its reputation and keep results strong.

Your access token is both your account ID and your proxy password. The server keeps only a hash of it, so store the file you saved at sign up somewhere safe and use that copy whenever you add it to a new program.

  • Assign separate IPs to separate jobs.
  • Set request gaps and a concurrency limit.
  • Test with a few IPs, then scale up.
  • Keep a safe copy of your token.

Dedicated datacenter proxies FAQ

  • Which sites are they good for?

Sites that don't block automated access much. For sites with strong blocking, pick residential proxies.

  • Is the price the same with heavy traffic?

Yes. It is based on the number of IPs, so traffic doesn't change it.

  • Which countries are available?

18 countries right now. See the list below.
