Proxy FAQ
Common questions from sign up and connecting to top ups, refunds and connection errors.
Getting started
What is a residential proxy?
It sends your requests through IP addresses that internet providers give to ordinary homes. To a site it looks like a visit from a regular household, so it gets blocked less than a datacenter IP.
How do I sign up?
You get an access token on the sign up page. You log in with it and connect to the proxy with it. If you lose the token, the account can't be recovered, so save it to a file.
Which product should I start with?
Most collection and checking jobs can start with residential proxies. Pick ISP proxies if you need one IP for a long time, or datacenter proxies if speed and price come first.
Pricing and top ups
What is the minimum top up?
The minimum is $30. Your balance works across every product.
How am I charged?
Residential and mobile proxies draw from your balance by traffic used (GB). ISP and datacenter proxies draw by the number of IPs you use.
Can I get my money back?
Balance can't be withdrawn. When a refund is due, it goes back to your balance.
Connections and IPs
Can I keep using the same IP?
With residential proxies, set a session name to keep the same IP for up to 120 minutes. If you need one IP all month, pick ISP proxies.
Which countries can I use?
We support 60 countries right now, and you can pick a city in each one. See the full list in the proxy locations section above.
How do I connect?
We support HTTP and SOCKS5. Enter the host, port, username and token to connect, and put a country and city in the username to set the location.
Account
How many accounts can I create?
Up to 3 accounts per IP. If you already have a token, please log in with it.
What if I lose my token?
The server only keeps a hash for checking, not the token itself, so we can't show it again. Keep the .txt file you got at sign up somewhere safe.
When can I use customer support?
Customer support opens in the dashboard once you have at least 1 completed top up.
Connection problems
I get a 407 error.
This happens when the username or token doesn't match. Check that you entered the username from the dashboard and the token you saved at sign up exactly, with no extra spaces.
The connection is slow.
Targeting a city narrows the pool of IPs and can slow things down. Try targeting only the country, or pick another city.
A site keeps blocking me.
Space out your requests more and change the IP on every request. For sites with strong blocking, residential proxies are the right fit.
Choosing a product
What are unlimited residential proxies good for?
They fit heavy traffic jobs that don't need a specific country. Traffic isn't metered at $37.58 per day, and you order 1, 7 or 30 days under Buy products in the dashboard. IPs come from a mix of countries, and sessions work the same way as rotating residential.
What is the difference between ISP and dedicated datacenter proxies?
ISP proxies are static residential IPs, so sites see them as a regular home connection, at $1.08 per IP per month. Dedicated datacenter proxies are datacenter IPs used by you alone, at $0.63 per IP per month. Both keep the same IP for the whole order term.
When should I pick shared datacenter proxies?
Pick them when you need many IPs at the lowest price per IP. At $0.0163 per IP per month they are the cheapest product, and several customers share each IP. They work well for broad checks of public pages.
What are IPv6 proxies used for?
They are great for spreading work across many IPs at a low unit price on sites that accept IPv6 connections. They cost $0.0818 per IP per month, in the 18 countries with datacenter IPs. They shine in high volume checking jobs.
How do I use mobile proxies?
Just add type-mobile to your username. A username like user-type-mobile-country-gb exits through a mobile IP, billed from your balance at $2.18 per GB used. You can choose from 56 countries with mobile IPs.
Can I use several products on one account?
Yes, all 7 products are paid from one balance. For example, you can scrape on rotating residential and run long term accounts on ISP proxies. There's no need to split your balance by product, so it stays simple.
What quantities and terms can I order for IP products?
ISP proxies come in 1 to 500 IPs and dedicated datacenter in 1 to 1,000. Shared datacenter comes in 10 to 5,000 and IPv6 in 10 to 10,000, both in steps of 10. All four offer terms of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
Top ups and orders
What currency do I top up with?
Top ups are made in a secure checkout window with USDT (TRC20, BEP20, ERC20, Solana), USDC (BEP20, ERC20, Solana), BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL or LTC. Pick the coin and network, then send the exact amount shown to the address shown; once the deposit is confirmed it is added to your balance. Each top up can be up to $5,000. A processing fee is shown in the checkout and added to the total: 5% from $20, 3% from $40, 2% from $100, 1.75% from $200, 1.5% from $300 and 1% from $500.
Why does the amount to send look so exact?
Each request gets its own exact amount so the incoming deposit can be matched to your request. Send the amount shown, down to the last decimal. If you send from an exchange that deducts a fee, make sure the amount that arrives matches the amount on screen.
How long does a top up request stay open?
The checkout window and its address stay valid for 60 minutes. Send the exact amount to the address shown within that window. After that, simply press Top up again in the dashboard.
How do I get a top up bonus?
The bigger the top up, the bigger the bonus rate, following the tiers $100 +20%, $200 +25%, $300 +30%, $500 +35%, $1,000 +40%, $3,000 +45%, $5,000 +50%. For example, a $300 top up gets a 30% bonus, giving you $390 to spend. Just pick the amount in the checkout window.
Is the minimum top up different by country?
Yes. If you connect from one of the 72 low and lower middle income countries by World Bank classification, the minimum is $20. Everywhere else the minimum is 30. The country is based on where you connect from.
Does my balance expire?
Your balance stays with no expiry date. Whatever product you buy later, it comes from the same balance. Instead of withdrawals, the balance is used to pay for any product.
Where can I see the IP products I ordered?
Check the status under My orders in the dashboard. A new order shows as Activating and switches to In use once it is ready. If an order is canceled or refunded, the amount you paid returns to your balance.
Connections and sessions
How should I name a session?
Short names with letters and numbers, like shop1, are easiest. Add it to the end of the username, as in user-country-jp-session-shop1, and use a different name per task to give each task its own IP. Requests that use the same name share the same IP.
What happens when a session ends?
A session keeps the same IP for up to 120 minutes, and after that it continues on a new IP. Split jobs that need a logged in state into steps that finish within that time. Starting again with a new session name lets you carry on with the next task on a different IP.
Can an HTTP proxy reach HTTPS sites?
Yes. The proxy opens an encrypted tunnel to the site, and the content stays encrypted between your program and the site. In Python requests, put the same proxy address in both the http and https entries.
How do I write a city name in the username?
Write the city in lowercase and replace spaces with underscores. For New York, use user-country-us-city-new_york. The quickest way to get the exact spelling is to copy it from the city table on each country proxy page.
What formats does Create connection details give me?
Pick a country, city and session and it builds HTTP, SOCKS5, host:port:user:pass and curl formats. Copy the one that fits your tool. The curl format is handy for a quick connection check in a terminal.
Where is DNS resolved when I connect over SOCKS5?
Start the address with socks5h and hostname lookups happen on the proxy side. DNS requests then go out from the chosen country, so your location stays consistent. Tools name the remote DNS option differently, so check your tool's settings as well.
How do I know if a site works with IPv6 proxies?
First check whether the site's domain has an IPv6 record. If it does, IPv6 proxies give you many IPs at a low unit price. For sites that use IPv4 only, choose datacenter or residential proxies.
